Yesim Sireli

Yesim Sireli is an associate professor with the Systems Engineering & Engineering Management Department of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering, and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering. She has industry experience, first as a product development engineer, and later as an R&D engineer.
Dr. Sireli’s research interests include systems analysis, customer-oriented product development and strategic planning and marketing, business forecasting, feasibility studies, capital cost estimating and quality management. Her current research activities include interdisciplinary energy issues, the nexus of water – energy – food – climate focusing on governance and policy development, and energy savings in water and wastewater treatment plants.
Dr. Sireli is a faculty associate of the Energy Production and Infrastructure Center (EPIC) and a faculty fellow of the Infrastructure, Design, Environment & Sustainability (IDEAS) Center at UNC Charlotte. She has been affiliated with IEEE, ASEM, Society of Women Engineers, and Phi Kappa Phi.
