Water Nexus Series II: exploring the relationships between water and other essential human needs
November 4, 2013 @ 5:30 pm
Water + Health
Greg Allgood, Distinguished Visiting Senior Fellow
What is the link between water and health?
Dr Greg Allgood, who leads World Vision’s work to address the global water crisis, will highlight the critical link between provision of clean water and effectively addressing major global health priorities including malnutrition and HIV/AIDS. Not only has recent research shown that clean water and improved hygiene and sanitation can dramatically impact malnutrition and HIV/AIDS, but efforts are underway to scale-up proven clean water interventions in more cost effective and clinically effective ways than can be achieved by addressing these priorities individually.
